Regular and routine appointments for children are a cornerstone to achieving this.

When it comes to kids, dental care is predominantly prevention orientated and educational. However, unfortunately, tooth decay remains the primary reason children under five are admitted to hospital. With this in mind, biannual routine appointments are essential in flagging any potential problems with your child’s teeth, whether they be general dental or orthodontic related issues. We advise booking your child in for their first appointment when their first milk teeth appear. Though it is highly unlikely for there to be any issues with their teeth at this stage, introducing your child to the dental practice environment will make future appointments more productive and enable your child to create a positive association with going to the dentist.
