Ceramic braces are the aesthetically up-to-date version of the traditional metal brace, encompassing the same highly effective mechanics.

A versatile brace, they are used to correct a variety of orthodontic issues and their design blends in with your smile by encompassing tooth-coloured wires and translucent brackets.

What can I expect from treatment with ceramic braces?

Ceramic braces are made with your unique smile in mind. Once we have examined your teeth, we will take impressions of your smile to inform the design of your brace. The brace hardware (brackets and wires that form an integral part of your brace) will be in keeping with your smile, as your dentist will take note of your tooth shade. The impressions and information about your tooth shade and shape will be sent to the dental lab, where your unique and aesthetic ceramic brace can be created. Once we receive it back from the lab, you can visit the practice for a follow-up appointment, during which your brace is fitted, and treatment can begin. We will ask that you visit us to have your brace tightened every few weeks and so we can track the progress of your treatment and address any questions or worries you might have.
